This is an alternative way to create an issue on schedule

Open existing issue in Jira and configure schedule

  1. Toggle “Repeat Issue”

  2. Choose schedule

  3. Choose notification policy

Repeat Issue panel

Easy migration from recurring task to repeat issue.

When enabling repeat issue on issue created by recurring task all schedule information is preserved
